The Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister of Sindh use to host the national flag of Pakistan at 9 am on the Independence Day.
The City Government has set up numerous huge poles at different locations from Sharea Faisal and Shahra-e-Quaideen up to monument of Quaid-e-Azam to raise National flags also elevated on all important the buildings of city and town administrations. Other than public and private educational institutes, special functions also be held in city government administered schools in collaboration with the Arts Council of Pakistan to mark the Day.
